Sampling with conscience, acting with demand.

With our integrated mines in Spain and Brazil, we are in direct contact with the raw material. This immediate proximity ensures reasoned exploitation, in compliance with a sustainable environmental approach, and a careful selection of rocks and minerals. Our own state-of-the-art processing tools – rotary kilns and vertical kilns – then allow optimal calcination of the magnesium carbonate to obtain high-quality magnesia.

At Terresis, we produce two types of magnesia:

Caustic Calcined Magnesia (TLC) obtained by calcining magnesium carbonate at 900 °C. It is used for agricultural applications (animal nutrition and plant production) and industrial applications (glassmaking, ceramics, environment, etc.).

Dead Burned Magnesia (DBM) obtained by calcining magnesium carbonate between 1500 and 2,000 °C. It is used to formulate refractory masses, mainly for the steel industry.
