XLcure N30 is a liquid admixture based on lithium nitrate, used to control the alkali-silica reaction (ASR) in high-alkali concretes, produced with reactive aggregates.
XLcure N30 meets the requirements of ASTM C494, Type S admixture.
When added in sufficient quantities to concrete, XLcure N30 releases lithium ions that bind to amorphous silica, forming a layer of Li–Si crystals on the surface of the aggregates.
This mechanism reduces the dissolution of silica, prevents silicate repolymerization, and inhibits the ASR reaction.
Available in IBC tanks, bulk tanks (truck or railcar).
